News September 2008

This month our fearless leader, Paul, will bravely fly for 24 hours from the UK while living only on airline peanuts to land in Melbourne for a full inventory of our Australian activities.

Edwina, Suzanne and Jo are anxiously waiting for his arrival. Tea: check. Biscuits: check. Sunshine: this is Melbourne, we can’t have everything.

Suzanne, International Consultant, can proudly say that in recent months she has sent more starry eyed Australians to the UK than a Baz Luhrmann film.

Jo, National Consultant, can proudly say that employers from across Australia are begging her to pluck social workers from comfortable metropolitan homes and send them into the outback, rainforests, and even Frankston, where they truly belong.

Edwina can proudly say that when it comes to paperwork, her title Administration Manager is very appropriate.

With the ferocity of Xena, Edwina has wrestled databases, websites, payroll, our social worker’s personal paperwork and even some relatively aggressive stationery items to throw them like offerings at Paul’s feet.

How will he react?

These last few months have seen a huge growth in our little office. We are finding jobs for occupational therapists and psychologists in Australia and social workers are working through us nation wide, in the UK and now in New Zealand.

We know Paul is thrilled to have three dashing women, filled with daring do, driving amicus Australia.

Break out the tea and biscuits!
