Every social worker wanting to practice in the UK will need to register to practice. In England you will need to register with The General Social Care Council (GSCC). You can only legally practice as a Qualified Social Worker once you have received your certificate of confirmation from The GSCC. The application for professionals qualified overseas is fairly detailed and requires some preparation. amicus recruit can provide you with advice and support on completing the application.
Our consultants are trained and experienced in assisting and endorsing GSCC applications. Please get in touch with us for more information about the process and how we can assist. Without GSCC registration you will not be able to practice as a Qualified Social Worker.
If you are planning on working in Scotland, Wales or Ireland you will need to make an application to the appropriate councils in those countries. You can find further information on the GSCC website. |
