The National Health Service (NHS) - www.nhs.uk
The UK's National Health Service (NHS) has a Reciprocal Health Agreement with Australia and New Zealand. This means that you are entitled to register with a doctor in the UK for free medical care. This includes doctor appointments and admittance to hospital.
Before you leave home we advise that you consult the NHS website as some types of health care may not be covered by the reciprocal arrangement. You are not covered by this reciprocal agreement as soon as you step outside the UK.
